After she drinks his blood, they decide to rest, but unbeknownst to Yamori, they enter a love hotel.

The next night, Yamori becomes jealous when he discovers from Nazuna that she does drink blood from random people. A young boy (I forgot his name already) who’s disillusioned with his school and home life goes wandering the streets at night, only to encounter a vampire girl, whose name/title I understood to be something like “Nazuna of the Seven Grasses. After he has taken a bath himself, Yamori begins experiencing new feelings due to Nazuna's new look, which she teases him about.

The secondary theme of love had me less interested but I understand the romance theme is necessary to sell books. All in all, there were massive stretches here where I either couldn’t quite grasp what they were talking about, or found myself checking out and not really caring because what I did understand was repetitive and without much substance. Apparently Ko must be in love with Nazuna to transform into a vampire, and since he enjoys his night life more than his life during the day, he wants to transform, but has no idea what love might be like. When Ko’s childhood friend, who is nice but so wrongheaded with him that it’s not even funny, puts a spanner in the works, there is some viciously satisfying back and forth. Ko manages to fight him off long enough for the three kids to escape, but the man follows them into the hallway.

Seeing her newfound interest to leave descendants, the girls accept Yamori, who says he will fall in love with Nazuna, no matter how long it takes. I think it's great that we have an apathetic main lead who isn't really a dick, just a kid who's hit a rut early in life and doesn't know what to do about it. Nazuna ends up in a bathhouse, where she instructs the clerk to alert her if her wrist receiver begins beeping. Nazuna constantly refers to vampirism as the vampires' equivalent of coitus, embarrassing Ko, and Ko reminds her that love is an essential part of the equation, embarrassing her. She has no interest in turning Ko into a vampire (which would require him to fall in love with her), but she does seem invested in his emotional well-being, something she's possibly unaware of.When he agrees to spend the night at her apartment it turns out they’re both suckers and a very odd story of boy meets vampire begins. While reluctant, Nazuna agrees to spend more nights together in exchange for his blood, and if he happens to fall in love with her, so be it. The plot is complicated when Ko runs into Akira, a friend from childhood, who wants him to go back to school with her.

The style is okay I guess, although I'm a bit bored by the usual half naked vampire lady main character.The protagonist doesn't like people and wants to become a vampire but learns the only way to do so is to fall in love with a vampire and have that vampire feed off of him, which is given a very sexual vibe. I also love how he's grappling with understanding friendship and love on an emotional and logical level. Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series in North America, Europe, Oceania, and selected Latin American and Asian territories. The art style was different from what I usually go for, but was something I also enjoyed about this volume.

After Nazuna explains their mutually beneficial relationship to Akira, Yamori finally tells her of how he will become a vampire if he falls in love with Nazuna. And considering how many people gave this volume 1-2 star ratings because of the age gap, the publishers were right to be wary.
