Florabotanica and Paris are perfumes I turn to when it’s about pleasing myself and wanting to feel feminine, beautiful, serene, embraced and sophisticated. A absolutely love this perfume - has a great herbal fresh fragrance, and lasts great throughout the day on the skin. Now that I could grab a decant to seriously try it, I remembered why I loved this (and why I love it more now!

While I’m not a fan of Balenciaga antics, the perfumer Olivier Polge creates such beautiful perfumes. The mint gives it a rainy cold character which is energizing and fresh and icy, and the cannabis note gives it an herbal earthy quality, while the rose emanates throughout from beneath and the vetiver leaves it somewhat unisex. I really hope this one lasts a while because so far I love it (hoping the drydown will be just as good!It does not — there is a powdery floral scent that kicks in immediately after the loud mint opening and that is just perfect. It lasts on my skin for a solid 6-ish hours and I enjoy the dry down more since it’s softer once it settles. Here you can easily distinguish notes from one another whereas in Kelly Caleche everything is just masterfully blended together into one gorgeous perfume scent.

Theres a wetness there that I think is the mint's influence, though I can't parse the mint from the rose separately. I use it to workout or sportsevents since its fresh, but its a beautiful fragrance for casual occasions, not too much. But, I do find that it more elevated that other fresh scents I've encountered, so I would say it's worth a try especially in hotter weather.

The vetiver and carnation adds depth and longevity, the plant cannabis adds a green unique factor (does not smell like cannabis when smoked), the rose some familiarity and the mint some freshness.

I had smelled it in a strip of paper at Sephora and liked it so I asked for a small sample to take home. You're leisurely walking your dog around ponds and small streams, letting her chase butterflies and roll in suspicious dirt bits, following barely discernable trails traced by the previous lucky folks who got stuck like you in this maze of tall grasses and other distaff. It is ideal if you don't want to get on anyone's nerves with your musk, patchouli, vanilla or other crackers. If I take in to consideration the aesthetic of the brand when Florabotanica came out, it surely fits. It's one of those fragrances where the individual notes sort of disappear at a certain point and it becomes more about the overall effect.I can't speak about longevity yet, but I sprayed it 1-2 hours ago on my wrist and it's still projecting strong. Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision. It transports you in to a sort of tech forest, where vegetation is thin and wet, brilliant and reassuring. The one thing with Balenciaga I don't like, is that they discontinue their fragrances at such high speed. Upon first spray (during hot, humid weather outside but sprayed within the haven of my air conditioned apartment), this smells slightly powdery and also like… pencil shavings?

The Cannabis and Mint aren't that prominent, I don't notice the amber at all but without those, Florabotanica wouldn't be what it is. Beautiful but dangerous, enchanting but mysterious, charming but mischievous… Florabotanica is an experimental rose that has the power to endlessly charm. Brand aside, I’ve received many compliments every time I have worn this and this is an unlikely HEAD TURNER 💜 Love the brand or not, some of us fragrance heads are here for the PERFUMER and the creations they put out.
