On top of that, we have an incident near the end of the story that felt like it was thrown in, but I’m not sure what the intent was. Creepy and chilling, Under Her Care is a tense page-turner that leaves you questioning everything you ever knew about motherhood and the family bond. Whilst I did enjoy some of the story, I felt there was so much going on, it was almost like it was trying too hard.

There is plenty of heat, and I enjoyed that the intimate scenes are grounded in emotional connection.I am a compulsive reader of literary novels…but there was one book that kept me reading, the sort of novel I can’t put down… The Perfect Child , by Lucinda Berry. My obsession with reading started at a young age (shout out to Scholastic Book Fairs), and has done nothing but grow since.

From the bestselling author of The Best of Friends comes a heart-stopping psychological thriller about the shades of truth and the power of lies in the wake of one mother's unspeakable loss. His journey to get back to both physical and mental fitness in his quest for Olympic gold was complex and sometimes difficult. The Big Issue Confined in a small space for months on end, subject to ship's discipline and living on limited food supplies, many sailors of old lost their minds - and no wonder.
