The thing I didn’t get to read on forums so far, is that you need to TRAIN yourself to CHANGE the way you [indulge] when you get a vaporizer, imho. Fully charging the battery to 100% will take between 2-3 hours if it’s completely depleted, and from a full charge you can expect at least 90 minutes of usage before it dies. It’ll last a tad longer on the lower heat settings – on level 2 I’ve been getting around eight 12-minute sessions which is not too shabby. Anyone wondering how to use a Pax 2 vaporizer should know that it couldn’t be any easier. The one press mouthpiece technology with the PAX 2 makes it very simple to operate. When first using the unit, the LED petals may seem a bit confusing and random but they are actually pretty intuitive: purple means the unit is heating, green means its fully heated and ready for vaping, and blue means it’s entering ‘cool down’ mode to conserve battery. I have tried the Volcano in coffeeshops in the NL and in SF and while the Pax 2 is not in same league as the Volcano, it is a very good alternative if you want something smaller and portable.

The PAX 2 comes with a nice cleaning kit, so make sure to use this and keep your PAX 2 nice and clean so it can always perform at it’s best. You can use the pipe cleaners with the provided cleaning fluid, to “floss” your PAX 2 and keep the airways nice and clean. One of the positives of the PAX 2 over the PAX 1 is that it requires less maintenance. After around 12 or so sessions our PAX is still going strong, but I can slowly start to feel the air flow getting tighter. I have heard people vaping the PAX 2 for up to to 20 sessions before cleaning it, but I would recommend giving a clean after 10-15 sessions to make sure it is performing at its best and that the air flow stays nice and open.

Hey yea the draw is definitely more restrictive than most others, one of the things I’ve found that affects it is how the oven screen is positioned – if the screen is pressed all the way down to the bottom it could restrict airflow, it’s better if you leave the side where the opening is a few millimeters up off the bottom. When buildup starts to accumulate inside the vape that also can affect airflow so definitely keep it clean for best results.

Remove the magnetic oven lid and fill your finely ground aromatic blends into the oven chamber. Replace the magnetic oven lid and power PAX 2 on by pressing down on the top button located within the top piece. PAX 2 will begin heating. To change the temperature setting, hold the top button for two seconds to enter temperature mode. Press the button again to cycle through the temperatures. Hold for two seconds to set your desired temperature. PAX 2's LEDs will show purple to indicate that it is heating, and the LEDs will turn green when it's ready to vape (green means go). PAX 2 detects motion, and will put your device in standy-mode when not in use, which conserves battery life and oven contents. PAX 2 charges in 2-3 hours via USB or AC wall adapter.

I really can’t stress this point enough – I can almost guarantee that grinding finer will get you better results if you’re not doing it already, especially with a vape like the PAX. So the PAX 2 is said to be able to detect your lips on the mouthpiece and “optimize heat and vapor production” for the best performance. I do think the new model performs better than the original so maybe they’re actually on to something with this, I guess I just don’t fully understand how this is even possible, but hey I’m no engineer! ;) Finally the material looks all “burnt”, brown colour, after the system heats once.
