Hexa-peri-hexabenzocoronene (HBC), a type of recently synthesized nanographene containing the SW defect, has the capability to act as anode in sodium (Na +)-ion batteries (NIBs). Nanographene containing Na + ion and the SW defect causes the sheet to be strong. But the cell voltage of the NIBs was decreased even though the SW defect in the HBC enhances the cell mobility, hence making it useful as anode materials.
