It's hard to see how this device could be improved, as it seems to cover most options which anyone could need to control their heating system, so I've given it 5 stars. The end goal is to remove the existing zoning for heating with the HoneyWell thermostats and the switch valves (i. The T3 Honeywell Programmable Thermostat - Volt Free is a high-quality, easy-to-use programmable thermostat that can help you save energy and money on your heating bills.

So I’ve also bridged those (although there was no charge running through it having tested it with a phase tester). For example, they mention it's great for setting differing temperatures, and it'll give you more accurate control over the house temperature. I note it does have a 'Temp Offset' feature that can change the displayed temp in relation to the room temp. Each day can be set with its own programme, or the programme can be copied to other days- so every day of the week can have the same programme- or you can have a different programme at weekends etc. I would either do what David suggests or get an electrician in to bridge the wires - presumably meaning short the valves so they're always open.As I said in earlier post, I wired the L and N wires from the CM707 to the Permanent Live and Permanent Neutral on HIve single channel receiver. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Works very well but only 2 ons and 2 offs not stats fault mine I wanted 3 ons and offs but had fitted it and could not be bothered to take it off and put old faulty one back on when I realised.

The switch wires for the boiler are connected via screw terminals on the backplate- but remember to switch off the power to your boiler first in case the wires are live! When following the app instructions, (ST9100c) i'm prompted to select Hot Water or Heating for which this controls. It is rather unusual though to have a Honeywell ST9100C providing time control that is wired to programmable room thermostats that also provide time control. The thermostat only switches on when, for example, the difference deviates more than 2˚C from the set room temperature. When I attach these to the permanent live and neutral terminals on the Hive faceplate, it powers up the receiver but manually turning on central heating does nothing other than light up the green light.By setting specific time periods and temperatures, you can ensure that your home is always at the optimal temperature when needed, helping to save on energy costs. This is used, for example, if the 'stat is locaqted in a poor place that might suffer from draughts - since the 'stat will be senseing air that is colder than in the rest of the room, this control will allow you to alter the displayed temp to represent the main room as opposed to the 'draught'. There is a problem where zone valves are used, Wiser thermostats will only allow use of the Opentherm module when single channel, so with new builds often there are zone valves, so they will not work with the OpenTherm module, EPH seems to be the odd one out, it does not link to TRV heads, but it can work as master/slave, so even with zone valves it can still control boiler with OpenTherm. I want to replace the thermostat with a Nest Thermostat e which I bought, but I'm struggling with the wiring.
