So obviously, being in my 30s, I'm not the intended audience for the story of Lottie but I feel working in a primary school, especially in a year 6 class, gives me some insights into their mind. And I want to start this review by saying I think all year six girls should read this book before going to senior school. The message of this book is so important and I really think that age group need to hear it. The character of Lottie is so relatable too. I know I'm years away from my own childhood but my memories are pretty strong. I know all too well the realities of so called 'popular girls' (although in my school it was actually both the girls and the boys who were equally mean) making fun of me for the slightest thing. And although this is a humorous book that had me laughing out loud in some places, there were also some emotional moments where Lottie is crying in bed.

Then Lottie meets new CRUSH Antoine. The language is a tiny bit of a barrier but does it matter when he's THAT good looking? Ik heb vaak lekker gelachen en ik vond het formaat (dagboek + meer) erg leuk gedaan. Maar sorry, ik ben echt moe van ACH die arme pestkoppen, ze hebben het zo zwaar uwu. Ik moet liever voor ze zijn. WTF. Sorry als iemand die gepest is *steekt middelvinger op naar dit soort gedoe* raamat polnud paha, aga polnud tõesti ka üks neid lasteraamatuid, mis täiskasvanut sama palju kõnetaks. vahepeal ikka ei juhtunud lehekülgede kaupa midagi muud, kui et rulliti tiktokki ja söödi snäkke - ma saan aru, et (eel)teismelise jaoks unistuste elu, aga mul oli jube igav lugeda, oleks tahtnud kas mõnda sündmust või vähemalt mõnda mõtetki! Een best leuk boek over een meisje dat graag populair wilt worden en alles wat ze meemaakt. Ik vond Lotte soms best een toffe meid, maar soms wilde ik haar gewoon even doorelkaar rammelen. Ze heeft echt een leuke en lieve vriendin maar die is niet popi genoeg dus ja.... Ze bleef maar bij het gemene meiden groepje en leek ook af en toe niet te snappen waarom haar andere vriendin niet zo blij was met de zaken. Hallo, die meiden waar je bij bent zijn gewoon gemeneriken en daar wil niemand gevonden bij worden. OMG ik heb wederom genoten van Lottie en haar avonturen. (en ja herinner me er aan dat ik echt minder OMG moet zeggen!)
