For a game like Gran Turismo or Dad Of Boy then it's definitely better to sit down and read those reviews. Resi32 This game's soundtrack is distinctly modern, as in the last few years modern, and a lot of it (in my opinion) is incredibly average. There's a chance some may come after the game launches so we'll update you right here if anything changes. People’s criticisms included things such as the character designs, feeling that they lacked the charm and uniqueness of the previous titles in the series.

That's including, but not limited to gay people, bisexual people, lesbians, women, black people, white people, Hispanic people, Asian people, Native people, I can go on and on. As a huge fan of the series–warts and all–and despite hoping for the best, it’s a tough pill to swallow to now know not all these criticisms are shitty or unfounded. For example, I noticed when picking up C4 from a resupply that despite being full, I could continue to pick up but the count didn’t increase.

There are also Side Hustles, which are mini-games that see players take on hordes of enemies, throw themselves into traffic, and more in exchange for cash and XP.

Saints Row experienced a rocky launch, with players encountering numerous issues that affected the overall gaming experience. But hey, those desert sunsets look lovely — dramatic lighting is definitely one of the game's graphical strengths. You and your friends go on an explosive murder spree around Santo Ileso, but it feels more like the absurdity is simply the reality in which Saints Row (2022) is set rather than out-of-context shock. Players have complete control over the appearance and style of their Boss, and it's incredibly easy to update your character or switch between saved versions at any point using the Style app in your phone. None of it’s to do with wokeness, though; it’s just a tired format for 2022, with uninspiring dialogue from restricted characters, repetitive missions, lackluster combat, endless driving, and its most underdeveloped storyline yet.

What’s more, none of them feel particularly tough, especially Mayhem and Insurance Fraud, which were often quite testing–and thrilling–in past games.

Despite these issues, the devs have worked diligently to address the problems through patches and updates, improving the game’s stability, performance, and overall experience for players – so, let’s find out if all that work has been worth it. Start at the top, customise and style every hair on your head then smear on some lipstick, clow out your face or just act your age (for once). There are stints where you have to build a new Criminal Venture and complete its side missions to progress, but as long as you jump between different activities, you can make it feel like less of a slog. In Mayhem, the camera went into a super-zoom mode in vehicles, making flying impossible (and forcing yet another hard reset). I understand that comedy is subjective but the joke do not land and the only humor most got was from the glitches, bugs in the game. As the future Boss, with Neenah, Kevin, and Eli by your side, you’ll form The Saints – and take on Los Panteros, The Idols, and Marshall as you build your empire across the streets of Santo Ileso and battle for control of the city. It still has its fun moments, niche appeal, third-person anarchy, and plenty to keep you distracted between missions, but this isn’t a reboot–it’s a reskin of a now-tired formula.

Despite the assortment of unique features, not every area feels hand-crafted or intentionally placed. I also experienced dropped frames, lag, and movement stutters during action-packed scenes, especially those filled with multiple explosions. Despite some vocal outcry surrounding the game's visuals after its announcement, I'm happy that Deep Silver Volition avoided creating another boring photorealistic open-world game, instead opting for a style that feels more at home with the spirit of Saints Row. Los Panteros treat their bodies no different than their cars: they are both assets and weapons, As such, they spend as much time working out to keep their bodies in shape as they do tuning up their cars. Despite completing six businesses and having loads of side missions left, I have no desire to finish them for anything other than achievements–and even a real achievement whore like me might give them a miss this time.Seamless Co-Op – Experience everything on offer with a friend at any time, via fully untethered drop-in / drop out co-op, skipping the need to take either of you out of the outlandish action. Robert's been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. Character models are pretty basic — generic NPCs are especially bland — and the game's graphics options leave quite a lot to be desired. Older Saints Row games were amazing for their times but fell out of favor in a rapidly evolving industry when they ran out of room to expand.
